The new building of Turkish Embassy in Doha was opened with the participation of Prime Minister Erdoğan

Prime Minister Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan paid a visit to Qatar on December 4, 2013.

Within the framework of his visit, Prime Minister Erdoğan met with Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani and also participated in the opening ceremony of the new building of Turkish Embassy in Doha.

Stating that the doors of the Embassy are also open for the citizens of other countries as well as Turkish citizens, Prime Minister Erdoğan said “Our Embassy will be at their service by all means”. Prime Minister Erdoğan thanked Qatari authorities for the allocation of the estate of 12.400 square meters for the Turkish Embassy.

Pointing out the brotherhood and friendship between Turkey and Qatar, Prime Minister Erdoğan stressed that this relationship of friendship and brotherhood continues to develop through mutual investments. Recalling that the two countries recognized each other in 1972 and opened their Embassies in 1979, Prime Minister Erdoğan stated that currently, there are around 60 Turkish companies in Qatar and the total amount of the projects undertaken by only 35 of them has reached 12 billion dollars.
