Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan hosted Taye Atske Selassie, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, and Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Somalia, in Ankara.

After the meeting, both sides agreed to issue the “Joint Ankara Statement”, which includes the decision of the Foreign Ministers of Ethiopia and Somalia to convene again in Türkiye on September 2.
