Main Export Items of Türkiye: Motor vehicles, tractors, bicycles, motorcycles and other land vehicles parts, parts and accessories, knitted clothing items and accessories.

The Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement signed with Lao PDR in 2008 to establish the legal framework of bilateral economic and commercial relations came into force in 2013.

In accordance with the Türkiye-Lao PDR Trade and Economic Cooperation Agreement, it is envisaged to establish a Joint Economic Commission to boost the bilateral economic and commercial relations.

There are no Turkish companies registered in Lao PDR. There is no direct investment from Lao PDR to Türkiye.

TİKA has been implementing projects in Laos in areas such as education, agriculture, health, capacity building, and combating natural disasters since 2008.

The total amount of bilateral official development assistance Türkiye has provided to Laos to date has amounted to 1,150,000 US Dollars.
