JEC: The second Meeting of Türkiye-Sri Lanka Joint Economic Commission (JEC) was held in Ankara on 11-12 November 2016.

Investments: Direct capital investments from Türkiye to Sri Lanka including the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency’s (TIKA) 100 house project is estimated to be around US $ 3 million. There is no registered Sri Lankan investments in Türkiye.

Aid: In 2013-2017, TIKA concluded 17 projects and events in total.

In order to be distributed to those affected by the flood disaster in May 2016, the Turkish Red Crescent sent aid packages consisting of 20 pieces of 16.5 m2 family life tent, 100 solar-powered lamps and 100 blankets. In addition, clothing was distributed to 500 people by the Turkish Red Crescent team.

In 2018, TİKA provided equipment and construction support to the Ampara irrigation dam project run by the NGO “Child Rehabilitation Center”. The project will provide irrigation to 8,100 acres and will benefit up to 15.000 people.
