The 10th Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC), co-sponsored by Türkiye since 2005, was hosted by Portugal on 25-27 November 2024.

H.E. Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, participated in the Forum during which the Cascais Declaration was adopted. The Declaration highlights the contribution of dialogue and interaction among different cultures to a peaceful and harmonious coexistence. It affirms the commitment to continue combating racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, religious intolerance, and all forms of discrimination. The Declaration also underlines that violent extremism cannot be associated with any religion, nationality, civilization, or ethnic group.

Türkiye will continue to fight against all forms of discrimination, particularly hatred against Islam, at the global level and support the UNAOC.
