H.E. Ivan Gasparovic, President of Slovakia is paying an official visit to Turkey at the invitation of H.E. Abdullah Gül, President of Turkey.

At the meetings held at the Çankaya Presidential Palace, chaired by President Gül and President of Slovakia, new cooperation and partnership opportunities as well as all aspects of the bilateral relations were discussed. The views on current regional and international issues were also exchanged.

Speaking at the joint press conference, President Gül pointed out that with a view to furthering the bilateral relations between the two countries and to strengthening the economic cooperation, the two countries agree on increasing trade volume and developing mutual investments in all fields particularly energy sector.

President Gül, noting that Slovakia has always supported Turkey’s EU membership thanked Slovakia once again for its Support.
