Agreement between Turkey and Sierra Leone on mutual abolition of visas for diplomatic passport holders was signed on 10 May 2017

During the visit of President Ernest Bai Koroma of Sierra Leone to Turkey upon the invitation of President Erdoğan between 9-11 May 2017, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu and Foreign Minister Samura Kamara of Sierra Leone signed the agreement on mutual abolition of visas for diplomatic passport holders on 10 May 2017.

President Koroma’s visit constituted the first president-level official visit from Sierra Leone to Turkey. President Erdoğan welcomed President Koroma with an official ceremony. Following the ceremony, bilateral talks between President Erdoğan and his counterpart took place. Then a meeting between delegations were held. During the meetings Turkey-Sierra Leone relations and current developments were discussed. Two Presidents also held a joint press conference.
