The bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Portugal stood at 3,7 billion
USD in 2025.
The number of Portuguese companies operating in Türkiye has increased in
recent years. Currently, there are companies with Portuguese capital
operating in Türkiye in various sectors such as information technologies and
telecommunications, electronics, business machines, machinery and equipment,
ceramics, ready-made clothing and footwear, shopping mall management, paper
and forestry products, engineering and consultancy, renewable energy, waste
storage, decoration, painting.
Turkish companies in Portugal has also increased in recent years,
particularly in port management, mining, tourism and hotel management, real
estate, maritime transportation, white goods, pharmaceuticals, jewelry and
agro-food sectors.
Main Turkish exports to Portugal are motor land vehicles, cotton yarn, iron
and non-alloyed steel, refrigerators and deep freezers. Main imports from
Portugal are paper and paperboard, chemical wood pulp, soda or sulfate,
radiobroadcast receivers, parts and accessories for motor vehicles, boards,
panels, consoles, etc. with electrical apparatus for electric control or
distribution of electricity.
In 2025, 123,000 Portuguese tourists visited Türkiye.
