The economic structure of Montenegro is mainly based on the service sector,
especially tourism.
Tourism accounts for about 25% of Montenegro's GDP. The country welcomes at
least three times as many tourists as its population every year. New luxury
tourism businesses, which also offer ship and yacht tourism opportunities,
make significant contributions to this sector. The country also attaches
importance to the improvement and expansion of land and railway networks
and air transportation opportunities.
