The ECO Summit Meeting to be Held in Tehran No:91 - June 7, 2000

The Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) is a regional organization to which Turkey attaches special importance. The ECO has always played a constructive role in opening up of the regional countries to the World and globalisation process.

Turkey will be represented by State Minister Mehmet Keçeciler at the preliminary meetings of the Summit that already started in Tehran.

President Ahmet Necdet Sezer will not be able to attend the 6th ECO Summit meeting to be held in Tehran on June 10,2000 due to his busy work schedule in the initial days in office.
