Third Meeting of the Joint-Working Group between Turkey and People’s Republic of China was held in Ankara on 16-17 April 2014 in accordance with the “Memorandum of Understanding Regarding the Establishment of Joint-Working Group Meeting between Turkey and People’s Republic of China” signed on 25 June 2009 in Beijing. The meetings were co-chaired by Ambassador Feridun Sinirlioğlu, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey and H.E. Zhang Yesui, Executive Vice Foreign Minister of the People’s Republic of China.
Within the scope of the consultations, parties have exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, as well as the on the bilateral relations at the level of strategic partnership between Turkey and China.
On the other hand, Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs received Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Yesui.
During the meeting in which Undersecretary Sinirlioğlu also participated, further intensifying the relations in the near future, holding consultations on a yearly basis between the Foreign Ministries within the framework of the current consultation mechanism and accelerating the cooperation on international and regional issues were on the agenda.
