The Attack to the Rhodes General Consulate Chancellary Building of Turkey No:117 - July 5, 2000

We are deeply concerned that an attack was made by throwing a molotof cocktail to the balcony wall of the Rhodes General Consulate Chancellery building of Turkey today (5 July) at a.m. 04.25. We condemn this attack and consider that this attack is not compatible with the existing positive atmosphere in the relations between the two countries. 

The situation has been brought to the attention of the Greek authorities through a Note in Athens this morning and it has been requested that the offenders be found and tried in a short time and that the necessary precautions be increased for all the representations of Turkey in Greece.
