The President Sezer´s Visit to Azerbaijan No:118 - July 11, 2000

His Excellency Mr. Ahmet Necdet SEZER, the President of Turkey, will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan between July 11th and 12th, 2000 upon the invitation of His Excellency Mr. Haydar ALİYEV, the President of Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the visit, His Excellency Mr. Ahmet Necdet SEZER will be accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Energy and Natural Resources Minister, Mr. Cumhur ERSÜMER, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. İsmail CEM and a delegation consisting of high level officials .

The opportunities for enhancing of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey continuing at the highest and most advanced level and strengthening of co-operation between these two countries both in bilateral international platforms will be explored.

During the visit, the two Presidents will exchange views on regional and international developments that are of concern to both countries.

The visit will further contribute to the enhancement of our sincere and close relations with Azerbaijan which we already have co-operative and friendly relations at the most advanced level and to the institutionalization of visits and contacts at the level of Presidents.
