At the political consultations that were held on 18-19 February 2013 in New Delhi, H.E. Ambassador Feridun Sinirlioğlu, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey and H.E. Ambassador Sudhir Vyas, Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs of the Republic of India discussed all aspects of the bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of interest to both countries.
Undersecretary Ambassador Sinirlioğlu was also received by Minister of External Affairs of the Republic of India, H.E. Mr. Shri Salman Khurshid.
The political consultations at the level of Undersecretaries of Foreign Ministries between the two countries were initiated in 1986. Turkey considers India, as an important partner in Asia, within the G-20 forum and at the global level and is willing to develop its relations with this country with whom it enjoys historic relations in every field.
