The Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan will pay a visit to Egypt and Lebanon on 17-19 October 2007 to discuss bilateral relations and the situation in the region.
In Egypt, Minister Babacan will be received by President Hosny Mubarak and Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif and will hold meetings with Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Arab League Secretary-General Amre Moussa. In Lebanon, he will be received by Prime Minister Fouad Siniora and Speaker of the Parliament Nabih Berri and he will meet Parliament majority leader Saad Hariri. In Lebanon, Minister Babacan will also visit the Turkish military unit serving in UNIFIL and he will honor the opening ceremony of a primary school constructed by Turkey in Srifa.
