The Agreement Between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of India Concerning the Reciprocal Promotion and Protection of Investments entered into force on 18th October 2007 , as a result of the exchange of instruments of ratification between Ambassador Celalettin Kart, Director General of Economic Affairs of our Ministry and Ambassador Chitra Narayanan, Ambassador of India in Ankara.
The Agreement provides a stable framework through reciprocal facilities and guarantees for investments made in Turkey and India by nationals of the other country.
The Agreement shall contribute considerably to the development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
Turkey attaches big importance to strengthening its relations with India in every field. We are pleased to note that the same will exists on the Indian side.
