Upon the invitation of the Foreign Minister of Turkey, H.E. İsmail Cem, the Secretary-General of the EU Council and High Representative of the CFSP (Common Foreign and Security Policy), Mr. Javier Solana, is going to pay an official visit to Turkey on June 1, 2000.

At the meetings to held between the delegations, views will be exchanged on Turkey-EU relations and international current developments.

During the visit, Secretary-General/High Representative Mr. Solana will be received by the President of Turkey, H.E. Ahmet Necdet Sezer and the Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, H.E. Kamran İnan.
