The Foreign Minister of Turkey, İsmail Cem met with the Ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kırgyzstan, Mongolia, Tacikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on May 22, 2000 at one of the working luncheons organized periodically with the representatives in Ankara of the Republics of the Caucasian and the Central Asian Republics.

At the working luncheon, participants exchanged views on the development of bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Turkey and these countries, the promotion of peace and stability in the region. Other regional and international matters concerning Caucasia and Central Asia were also discussed.
